meet Jessie!
Jessie Ransom Powers' (she/her) artistic journey has been one of rediscovery and passion. With a deep-rooted connection to art, Jessie's artistic identity took shape during her college years while studying art therapy. It wasn't until 2017, however, when she stumbled on glasswork, that her creative spirit reignited, unleashing an unstoppable fire within her. As a full-time glass artist, Jessie embraces the freedom to explore, continually pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Her pieces are a testament to the transformative power of art and of the artistic journey that has led her to create and share her works with the world.

FAQ
How long do lessons last?
Anywhere from 2-6 hours! Stained glass is a multi-step process, so the class length will ultimately be dependent upon your design of choice and the number of people in your group.
what should I wear to class?
Comfortable clothing that you are okay with making messy art in is best! Just be sure to wear closed toes shoes.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you have eye gear and a mask you prefer (for glass purposes, not COVID purposes), please bring those. If not, i will have some available. Since the process can take awhile, it also may be beneficial to come with a water bottle and a snack!
Will I be able to make *anything* now?
Stained glass is a multi-step, multi-faceted process. Starting with small, simple designs is the best way to learn. Once basic skills are practiced and mastered, there will be more options to make more complex designs in your future!
Why are classes so expensive?
Glass is an expensive medium of art. The investment you'd make toward learning glass is based on the process, set-up, tools, time involved, knowledge, and the price of the glass itself. This class is not for anyone, and you may take it and realize this hobby is not for you. That's okay! However, if you're interested in learning, connecting with your mind, and creating something new, then I encourage you to take the leap!
What should I expect for class?
Glass is a multi-step process. Plus, each process is remarkably different from the rest and requires different skills and tools. If you're anything like I was in the beginning, you're likely to get frustrated along the way. I am here to encourage, motivate and teach you, so don't expect to leave being excellent at stained glass, but instead full of knowledge (and maybe a few glass splinters!).
